During a Naturally Beautiful Season

From Spring to late Summer is the perfect season for weddings at Stourton Woods.  Whilst we can’t guarantee the weather, the grounds are at their best during the months of May to September so this is the ideal time to hold your wedding here.

The grass is regularly trimmed, with plenty of woodland walks to enjoy time-out as newly-weds.  The trees and shrubs in the arboretum are in full leaf and the surroundings are naturally beautiful with wild flowers dotted around.

Limited Wedding Availability

We take great care of the venue and so we limit wedding availability in the grounds each year so the grounds are in tip-top condition and special (perfect for garden games!) for each and every couple choosing Stourton for their celebration.

So, if you are looking for a particular date in forthcoming summer seasons please do get in touch and come for a look around so that we can discuss options and confirm dates with you.

Your Wedding – Your Way!

It is wonderful to see your ideas come to life and you are free to decorate the venue & grounds however you choose.  Or, opt to keep it simple and let your love and beauty of the venue shine through.  If you’d like help we can also put you in touch with wedding styling and prop hire services to help decorate the venue.

You might like to stay overnight in the grounds, and hiring in a small bell tent village in the middle of the arboretum gives you the option to catch up with friends and family the next day too – your wedding weekend!  You and your guests can also choose to camp in the grounds if you’d like to.

Florists and cake makers can personalise your wedding and make it special to you.

Our Magical Woodland Wedding 

As a family, we fell in love with Stourton initially when visiting the sunflower field. The space is so beautiful, peaceful & surrounded by nature. We love how the safari tent is nestled into the natural background, sitting under the lovely trees. The magical view when you’re stood looking out towards the lake & green space is picturesque. There were many reasons for choosing Stourton, not just for its beauty. We loved the freedom around making our day so bespoke & tailored to us. It was important to us to bring the nature from outside, in & this was achieved better than we hoped. Stourton is a blank canvas for you to make decisions around all aspects of planning. Everyone tells you how quickly the day goes & do you know what, they’re right! So we loved that we had the option of camping overnight, extending the celebrations with our loved ones for longer. We chose to hire bell tents & they were an ace, comfy place to retire to after toasting marshmallows by the fire pit. Finally, a big shout out to Julie! She is the most lovely lady you could wish for to help with your special day. She was always on hand to advise, help recommend/research suppliers – nothing is too much trouble. The day ran so smoothly thanks to her calm & friendly professionalism. She really is a star!? We truly had the most magical, fun, memorable day & felt sad when it was over!           August 2024
