This event is so much more than just a fabulous market – with not only a wide selection of Lincolnshire creatives, food producers, makers and artists showcasing their goods in and around the Roundhouse in the woods but you can really make a day of it with:![]()

The deer are almost ready to transition out of their winter routine and be released into the parks, we’re just waiting for the grass to come through and temperatures to rise slightly.![]()

There’s always one exception though. One particularly independent calf (pictured) never made it into the roundhouse at all this winter and seems perfectly content with her choice…

Winter feeding continues, which remains a challenge in wet ground conditions. We are using the smaller Kubota tractor in the parks, as its lighter footprint helps reduce soil damage. The straw chopper has also proved invaluable for both feeding and bedding.![]()

The deer have become ‘twitchy’ clearly sensing the changing season and are becoming more alert ahead of their planned release back into the parks in early April, weather permitting.

The chickens have been keeping us very well stocked since their arrival and its time we shared their delicious eggs with you!![]()

Our honesty box is situated inside the entrance off the A158 (the entrance we share with Walled Garden Baumber ). So if you're passing and running short please just pop in and leave some money in the honesty box!
We have also welcomed a further batch of Aberdeen Angus cross calves, who have settled well onto their herbal ley silage and cereal-based diet. ![]()

Our first group of cattle continue to grow strongly, look very well and are now averaging 465kg.
Two swans were gliding along the River Bain last night.![]()

Spring is definitely starting to wake up around the farm now. It’s lovely to hear the birds again and see the days stretching out.![]()
